What is Kinesiology?
Professional Kinesiology Services uses the latest techniques to
create a balance within the body. The revolutionary difference
between Kinesiology and other modalities is that, by incorporating
the bodies’ “electrical system” we can balance the structure,
nutrition and emotions as demonstrated by your own body, not by
someone’s opinion of what needs to occur. One of the amazing
functions of the human brain is that it knows the condition of every
cell in the body and what it needs. We often try to override that
innate wisdom with our logic. However, using Kinesiology techniques
we can access the bodies’ innate wisdom to reduce or remove the
impediments to the bodies function and let the body heal itself.
The human body has an electrical system which is critical to the
proper function and control of each part of a person. Our organ
function, muscle movement and control, our senses, basically every
part of our body, is dependant on the proper functioning of this
system. The meridians are an integral component of the bodies’
electrical system. These meridians are lines of electrical flow
within the body. They can be photographed with special photography
and located and measured by several other means. There is no visible
organ where the meridians flow, but it is through the moisture in
the body that the minute, subtle energies flow.
Each meridian acts like an electrical circuit. For example, in your
car, when you turn on your headlights, several things come on. The
headlights, parking lights, tail lights and interior dash lights are
all on the same circuit. The meridians function similarly. In most
cases the meridian is named after an organ that receives its
electrical supply from that meridian. For example, there is a
stomach meridian, a spleen meridian, a heart meridian, etc. Lymph
nodes, blood cells, bone tissue and many other items receive their electrical supply from that
same meridian. What we are most concerned with is; that there are very
specific muscles that receive their electrical supply from that
meridian.
The founders of “Applied Kinesiology” discovered that by testing the
strength of these individual muscles a practitioner could get
real-time feedback from the body. Any imbalances within the
meridians are indicated by properly executed muscle testing. The
muscle tests that a practitioner uses are designed to specifically
isolate a muscle. If a muscle test within a particular meridian
indicates by “unlocking”, it indicates that something is lacking
within that meridian. There are usually about a half dozen items
that are typically found to be lacking or out of balance to correct
the energy flow to the muscle and its related meridian. These may
include; the bodies’ lymph flow, the blood flow, the electrical flow
through the meridian or between meridians is out of balance, the proprioceptor function within a muscle may be functioning
incorrectly or several others. All of these items can be corrected
by use of the practitioner’s hands.
When a person has a problem of almost any type, whether it is
physical, emotional, chemical or nutritional there will be an
imbalance within the meridians. Some of the meridians will be higher
in energy and some will be lower in energy (relative to each other).
Using Kinesiology techniques a practitioner can determine where
these imbalances are and use simple touch techniques to remove the
imbalances. Once the imbalances are corrected the body is then able
to function closer to its optimum and symptoms are usually greatly
reduced or leave completely.
A Professional Kinesiology Practitioner works differently from the
standard medical practice of naming a diagnosis and then working to
treat the symptoms of that diagnosis. As a Professional Kinesiology
Practitioners we do not “diagnose”. We simply balance the body
through the use of the bodies’ electrical system. We access the
electrical system through the muscles that are powered by that
system. Once balanced, the muscles work in balance, the organs work
in better balance and the emotions are actually more balanced (see
emotions). This allows the symptoms to decrease (usually
dramatically), or completely fall by the wayside. Basically, we
balance the body and let the natural healing abilities of the body
function as they were designed to.
A common analogy used to describe PKS is that if your car is
running poorly, i.e., hard to start, keeps stalling, running rough
and you take it to the repair shop. You get there and ask them to
fix it, but tell them; don’t touch the spark plugs, distributor,
battery wiring or any other electrical components. The mechanics
would be quite hard pressed to fix your car by not having access to
the cars electrical system.
Given that almost every human bodily function is controlled or
incorporates the bodies’ electrical system, it really opens up a huge
component to help us all function closer to our optimum when we make
use of that system through Professional Kinesiology Practitioner
techniques at PKS. |
